How to solve Error Code 2

Fault code:

【2】Software protection for average current overcurrent during battery discharge

Reason:

Excessive load power: When the total power of the load connected to the inverter exceeds the rated power of the inverter, it will cause excessive battery discharge current. For example, if the rated power of an inverter is 1000W and a load with a total power of 1500W is connected, the excess power demand will cause the battery to discharge at a current higher than normal.

Power tube damage: The power tube in the inverter is a key component for controlling current output. If the power transistor is damaged due to overheating, overvoltage, or other reasons, it will be unable to control the current properly, causing the current to lose control and resulting in overcurrent phenomenon.

Drive circuit failure: The drive circuit is responsible for providing the correct drive signal to the power transistor to control its conduction and cutoff. If the driving circuit malfunctions, such as abnormal driving signals, insufficient voltage, etc., it will cause the power transistor to not work properly, resulting in abnormal current and triggering overcurrent protection.

Solution:

Excessive load power: First, confirm whether the total load power is within the rated power range of the inverter. If exceeded, reduce the number of connected load devices or replace with a higher power inverter.

Power tube damage: In the case of power tube damage, professional electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, transistor testers, etc. need to be used to test the performance of the power tube. If it is determined that the power tube is damaged, it should be replaced with a power tube of the same model and specification.

Driver circuit fault: Check if the power supply voltage of the driver circuit is normal, and inspect if there are any signs of damage to the driver chip and related components. If any components are damaged, they need to be replaced; If the parameter settings of the drive circuit are incorrect, it is necessary to readjust the parameters of the drive circuit according to the specifications and requirements of the inverter.
