Error code:
8 "PV-OVERPOWER"  solar panel high-power
9 "PV-OVERVOLTAGE"  solar panel open circuit voltage overvoltage

Reason for malfunction:
Voltage mismatch: The output voltage of the solar panel does not match the controller, which may be due to the panel's specifications not meeting the controller's requirements, or the panel aging causing abnormal output voltage.

Battery issue: Incorrect battery type settings or battery aging have affected the control of charging current. Different types of batteries require different charging parameters, and if set incorrectly, it can lead to abnormal charging current; In addition, aging batteries may not be able to receive charging current properly, which can also cause malfunctions.

Algorithm parameter setting issue: Improper setting of controller charging algorithm parameters, such as charging current limit, charging time, etc., leads to the inability to adjust the charging current according to the actual state of the battery.

Solution:
Check the compatibility between the solar panel and the controller: Verify whether the output voltage of the solar panel matches the input voltage requirements of the controller. If they do not match, it is necessary to replace the solar panels that meet the requirements or adjust the system configuration to match the two.

Check battery settings and status: Ensure that the battery type is set correctly, as different types of batteries have different charging characteristics and requirements. At the same time, check whether the battery is aging. Aging batteries may not be able to receive charging current properly and need to be replaced with new batteries in a timely manner.

Adjust charging algorithm parameters: Refer to the controller manual to check if the charging algorithm parameter settings are reasonable, such as charging current limit, charging time, etc. Adjust the parameter settings appropriately according to the actual situation to optimize the charging current control.
