Tracking speed: The tracking speed of the MPPT algorithm determines how quickly the system can respond to changes in the output power of the solar panel. In the case of rapid changes in light intensity or temperature, fast tracking algorithms can better maintain the system operating near the maximum power point. However, tracking too fast may lead to system instability and oscillation. Therefore, a balance needs to be struck between tracking speed and system stability.
Accuracy: The accuracy of an algorithm is an important indicator for measuring the performance of MPPT. Accurate algorithms can more accurately find the maximum power point, thereby improving the efficiency of the system. Different MPPT algorithms have differences in accuracy, for example, perturbation observation method and incremental conductance method have different accuracy performances in different application scenarios. Suitable algorithms need to be selected based on specific system requirements.
Adaptability: Solar power generation systems may face various complex working environments, such as partial occlusion, cloudy weather, etc. Therefore, the MPPT algorithm should have good adaptability and be able to effectively track the maximum power point under different environmental conditions. Some advanced algorithms can automatically identify partial occlusion situations and take corresponding measures to improve system efficiency.
